Wooloo – The Video of ´We need you now (more than ever)`
We already ´released` the Charity-Song for the European Economy “We need you now (more than ever)” by the Danish art collective WOOLOO at our Blog. The Song and the video are an art-project of the NEWTOPIA exhibition and it features some known names like Katerina Gregos, the curator of the NEWTOPIA exhibition, Mark Sladen and the artists Wim Delvoye, Carsten Höller, Gregor Wroblewski, Pilvi Takala, Mikhail Karikis, Ursula Mayer and Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen.
“With each rejection from an artist or curator, Wooloo initiated a new request, to another, lesser-known art world personality, until the closing lineup of the video was secured. The casting process reflects hierarchies of institutional power and draws an analogy between the mechanisms of our financial systems and the basic structures of the culture sector.” (NEWTOPIA exhibition-catalog)
Now, the video is online and can be watched:
Performers: Carsten Höller, Gregor Wroblewski, Katerina Gregos, Lillibeth Cuenca Rasmussen, Mark Sladen, Mikhail Karikis, Pilvi Takala, Ursula Mayer, Wim Delvoye & Wooloo.
